Police investigating alleged assault at Grand Central Shopping Centre, Toowoomba
Witnesses have described seeing two young girls raining blows on an older woman, moments before police and security swarmed on the popular shopping centre.

One person is in custody and multiple people are being interviewed by police after an assault at Grand Central Shopping Centre.
Police and centre security were called to the incident near the Kmart entrance off Victoria St about 3.30pm on Wednesday.
Witnesses described seeing two teenage girls allegedly assaulting an older woman.
There was a heavy police presence at the centre in the aftermath, with plenty of confused onlookers.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the officers arrested one person and that the investigation is ongoing.
