Paramedics rush to ‘unfolding’ mustering accident

A person has been injured in a mustering accident on a rural property south of Mackay.

EMERGENCY services are rushing to a rural property after a mustering accident at Collaroy, south of Mackay, resulted in a horse falling on it rider.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics were responding to an “unfolding” emergency after “a horse has fallen on a patient”.

He said the incident at the Collaroy property was initially reported at 9.48am.

The QAS spokesman was unable to confirm the patient’s injuries, or their age and gender.

A RACQ CQ Rescue spokeswoman said a helicopter crew was also heading to the site.
