A man has been injured after a truck rolled off a major southwest Queensland highway, causing delays to traffic.

It’s understood the incident occurred just after midnight along the Cunningham Highway at Oman Ama, about 5km east of Stanthorpe Inglewood Rd.

Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said one crew arrived just before 1am and worked to remove debris from the road.

The man received chest injuries and was taken by Queensland Ambulance paramedics to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Police spokesman said officers were still on scene this morning and were assisting with the removal of the heavy vehicle from the road.

The QPS spokesman said the road could remain closed until midday.
