A Bonza plane has been given the all clear after a “fumes incident” meant emergency services rushed to the Sunshine Coast Airport earlier this week.
Two men, part of the flight crew, were taken to the Nambour Hospital following the incident.
Emergency services were called to the airport on Tuesday afternoon after reports of fumes in the cockpit of the aircraft.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the men, in their 40s and 50s, were transported to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition with minor symptoms.
The spokesman said it was a “reported fumes incident”.
It is understood the plane landed without incident.
A Bonza spokeswoman said the airline investigated reports on Tuesday afternoon of an abnormal odour in the flight deck of AB570 travelling from Melbourne Avalon to the Sunshine Coast.
“After a full assessment by engineers the aircraft has been given the all clear,” she said.
“The flight arrived at the expected arrival time and all customers and crew disembarked without incident.
“Two flight crew underwent precautionary checks and were cleared soon after.”
On Tuesday, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said two crews were initially on the scene but were standing by and not needed.
Earlier, the Bonza spokeswoman said the airline was investigating reports of fumes on-board flight AB570 travelling from Melbourne Avalon to the Sunshine Coast and that all customers and crew were well.
“The aircraft is currently being assessed by engineers,” she said on Tuesday evening.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman confirmed the incident.
She said police were investigating but was not suspicious.
