Police investigating causes of car, semi-trailer crash on busy city road which sent three people to hospital

THREE people have been taken to Royal Darwin Hospital after a crash between a car and a semi-trailer on a busy city road this morning

THREE people have been taken to Royal Darwin Hospital after a crash on a busy city road in the early hours of Friday morning.

NT Police Northern Watch Commander Vicki Koun said all possible causes of the crash, including drink driving were being investigated.

“We had, earlier this morning, a car coming along Bradshaw Tce, and as it was travelling on Bradshaw Tce a truck was exiting an intersection and the Subaru has hit the truck,” she said.

“All the causes are being investigated.”

Snr Sgt Koun said the crash at the intersection of Bradshaw Tce and Scaturchio St happened just before 5am Friday morning.

“We had two people trapped in the vehicle, in the Subaru, and they’ve all gone up to hospital.

They’re receiving medical treatment,” she said.

“Two of them were conscious at the scene and one of them we don’t have the full status yet.

“Obviously all injuries are being treated and they’ve been taken to hospital.”
