Covid, Russia, Coal: China’s calculated steps to weaken Western democracies

First it was the virus, then its support of Russia during the Ukraine invasion. It’s almost like the Chinese dictatorship had a plan to cripple Western democracies?

I don’t want to scare you, but notice something in the International Monetary Fund’s latest growth figures? It’s all working out for China, and not for Western democracies.

It’s almost like the Chinese dictatorship has, you know, a plan to make us weaker while it gets stronger.

Let’s start with the IMF’s growth figures for this year.

China has bounced back from its virus lockdowns and is humming at 5.2 per cent, much lower that it’s been for decades but still double the growth rate of the rest of the world.

But the West, oh dear.

US growth is just 1.6 per cent and falling.

Growth in the West’s other big democracies is even worse. In Europe it’s just 0.8 per cent, and Britain is actually shrinking by 0.3 per cent.

You might think Australia is at least plugging away, tipped to grow 1.6 per cent, but that’s because you’ve been conned.

As the IMF notes, we’ve actually got poorer per person, because the Albanese Government increased our population even more with mass immigration.

The figures are one thing, with the aggressive Chinese dictatorship growing much faster than the Western democracies it wants to dominate.

But the reasons for them are even more telling.

The IMF says we’re still hurting from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – which China backed.

It says we’re also still hurting from the Covid-19 pandemic and the spending to save our economies – and that virus came from China, probably from a laboratory.

The IMF says countries such as Britain especially are also hurt by high prices for gas and electricity, and although it says “the effects of climate policies on fossil fuel prices are uncertain”, Britain obviously made things worse by shutting coal-fired power stations and banning fracking for gas.

And who cheers on the global warming hysteria that’s jacking up Australia’s power prices, too?

Again, it’s China, which last year opened two new coal-fired power stations a week, while Australia shuts its own.

Like I said, it’s almost like China had a plan.

Hey, comrades: let’s back an invasion by our Russia allies that sucks the US alone into sending $100 billion of weapons and aid.

Let’s keep quiet about a new virus that will spread to the West.

Let’s promote a climate cult that panics the West into shutting down their cheapest generators, and leaves more coal for us.

It’s so crazy that it might work. And it does.
