AN 18-year-old man is under police guard in hospital after an early morning car crash that killed a teenage girl and injured others.
Three girls and an 18-year-old male driver were in a car which smashed into a pole in Eggleton St, Blacktown early on Sunday morning.

A 17-year-old girl in the back seat died at the scene. The driver and two female passengers, aged 17 and 15, were taken to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries.
Police this afternoon alleged that during a search of the crashed car officers seized several items, including drug paraphernalia, cash and several white pills.
The driver has undergone mandatory testing and remains at Westmead Hospital under police guard.
When emergency services arrived at the accident scene, four people trapped in a silver sedan.
A crime scene was established along Eggleston St today. Local residents were seen being turned away by police.
The car could be seen resting where it had crashed into the pole. A provisional plate could be seen displayed on the back of the destroyed vehicle.
Officers from the Crash Investigations Unit assessed the scene.
