Data analysis by The Daily Telegraph uncovers which Sydney schools have jumped the most places in the 2018 HSC results — and which schools have suffered the greatest falls.
The greatest leap for 2018 was taken out by Newcastle Grammar School (Hill Campus) which jumped from 85th place in 2017 to 35th spot in 2018.
Wenona School in North Sydney came in second, jumping from 33rd place in 2017, to 13th spot in 2018.
The largest drop in rankings went to Tangara School for Girls in Cherrybrook. In 2017 the school was in 26th place, but fell to 92nd spot in 2018.
Moriah College in Bondi Junction had the second biggest fall in the rankings, from 15th place in 2017 to 32nd spot in 2018 — a 13 per cent decrease.
