The price of fuel is steadily rising across Greater Sydney but there are still some suburbs where you can fill up for under $2 a litre.
Motorists will find the cheapest unleaded petrol at service stations in southwest Sydney, on the Central Coast and on the Northern Beaches on Tuesday.

The most expensive unleaded fuel has been recorded at BP Girraween, selling for 223.9 cents per lite and Shell Bundeena for 222.9 cents per litre.
Compare the Market told The Daily Telegraph that more than 150 Sydney service stations at $2.22 but it appears as if the city as “reached the peak of the cycle.”
“Unfortunately for motorists, it could stay at this level for the next few days or even beyond the weekend though,” spokesman Chris Ford said.
“There has been incredible volatility in the crude trading market, while Singapore’s prices for petrol and diesel have jumped to levels not seen before. As a result, retailers in all capitals have reacted with sharp increases to petrol and diesel prices. Crude prices may have peaked for now but the situation is far from stable.
“Motorists should be shopping around with fuel comparison Apps, like the Simples App, to save where they can, as there are still some deals to be had and they could be just one street or suburb away from where you normally fill up. A 30 cent variation at the pump will save you $15 every time you fill up a standard 50 litre tank.”
