Want to get paid $1000 to sleep?

IF it’s your dream to make money in your sleep, then this may be the job for you. A “horizontal integration specialist” is being sought on Airtasker to test out a range of bedroom products but you’ll need to be good in the sack.

WANTED: One “horizontal integration specialist” to get paid $1000 to sleep.

A gig posted on Airtasker today has put the call out for a bedroom tester to spend a month enjoying a suite of bedroom products, including a bed base, mattress, pillows and sheets in return they’ll receive cash and a suite of products of their choosing.

The catch? The applicant needs to be good in the sack — that is, a regular eight-hour sleeper.

Posted by the Koala research team, (Koala make mattresses and other bedroom products) the task aims to assist the company with its sleep research.

Wannabe bed testers have until August 16 to apply but they’ll need to make a compelling case because applications are expected to rush in.

“The successful applicant will be well-versed in the sleep sciences, including and not limited to: falling asleep easily in various locations with little effort, capable of sleeping through alarms, napping or dozing during work/study, and also possessing an extraordinary ability to stay in bed across weekends,” the Airtasker post specifies

The applicant must:

— Undertake a “Nocturnal Resting Acceleration Session” with fatigue science expert Liz Marin, the sports and nutrition scientist to the Qantas Wallabies.

— Wear a sleep tracking bracelet, a method used by the Wallabies, for the duration of the test to provide sleep and performance data for analysis.

— Maintain an average sleep duration of 8 hours per night across the month-long study.

— Record and share 2 x 15-30 second videos per week for the duration of the study for additional research purposes.
