THE widow accused of murdering grazier Mathew Dunbar has been seen for the first time since her sensational arrest at a multimillion-dollar sheep farm at Walcha in the state’s northern tablelands.
Natasha Darcy-Crossman, 42, was handcuffed and kept her head bowed as three plain-clothed officers led her onto a plane at Tamworth Airport bound for Sydney.
Darcy-Crossman arrived at the country airport in a marked police paddy wagon about 2pm.
Detectives whisked her through a private gate and tried to shield her from view as they walked towards the aircraft.
The Daily Telegraph understands that after the mother-of-three lands in Sydney she will be transported in a high security prison van to the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre at Silverwater where she will be processed.
Darcy-Crossman, who also goes by the name Darcy, was seen being escorted across the tarmac this afternoon, flanked by three plain-clothed officers.
The pilot contracted to fly her back to Sydney in a light aircraft followed the group from behind.
Darcy-Crossman has spent the past three nights in the cells underneath Tamworth police station but today emerged wearing a navy blue and white striped T-shirt with a grey jumper draped over her wrists to hide her handcuffs.
Yesterday she refused to come up from the cells for her brief court mention at Tamworth Local Court.
The 42-year-old is accused of murdering Mr Dunbar at his Merino sheep farm ‘Pandora’ on Thunderbolts Way in the early hours of August 2 this year.
