Two dead after car collides with cyclists in NSW Northern Tablelands
The driver of a car which collided with a group of cyclists before hitting a tree in the state’s Northern Tablelands has become the second person killed in the incident.

Two people have died following a crash in NSW’s Northern Tablelands on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Long Swamp Rd in Armidale shortly before 3.30pm after a car collided with a group of cyclists before crashing into a tree.
One cyclist, a man in his 60s, died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.
Three others – aged 57, 39, and a teenage boy – sustained injuries and were taken to John Hunter and Armidale hospitals in stable condition.
The driver of the car, a 30-year-old woman, was trapped in the wreckage and freed by emergency crews.
She was flown to John Hunter Hospital in critical condition but died on Sunday.
Police from the New England Police District established a crime scene, with Crash Investigation Unit officers examining the site.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
