Tradies kick in to renovate surf club at Fingal

THE Toohey's New Crew has hit Fingal and is hard at work on the new Rovers Surf Life Saving Club.

Site manager Paul Gillespie and his team of tradies will be at Fingal until Sunday, working on renovations with volunteers from the community.

Fingal SLSC President Robyn Wonson was excited about the project and wanted more people to come down and lend their skills to the project."

"It's incredible, we've just got to get volunteers to come and help out," she said.

Toohey's Brand Manager Ed Jamison also joined the call for more keen volunteers.

"Even if they don't have any specific skills, they should come down and see if they can lend a hand," he said.

Mr Jamison was proud of the work the crew had completed on the road and glad to see the program going well.

"It's all about supporting communities," he said.

"To date, we've completed two million beers worth of favours."

The New Crew was created two years ago with the goal of giving a million beers worth of favours after Toohey's successful Beer Economy advertisements.

They travel around in Australia's biggest work ute to help communities, and so far have completed 24 projects, totalling a massive two million beers worth of work so far.
