JUSTIN Budd, the youngest buyer of a block of land in Murwillumbah’s new Riva Vue housing estate, is finally seeing bricks and mortar go up after a year’s wait.

Mr Budd purchased his land in the Metricon estate 12 months ago to take advantage of the higher First Home Owners Grant and following further saving is now excited to see the house construction start.

“This is a very exciting time for me. I’ve been coming down to the site as often as possible to check on the progress of my home,” said Mr Budd, 22.

“I purchased my block of land at Riva Vue almost a year ago taking advantage of the First Home Owners Grant boost. Riva Vue presented the perfect opportunity for me to get on to the property ladder by building my own new home in a quality development,” said Mr Budd.

“There seems to be a lot of activity happening at Riva Vue and it’s great to see some other houses taking shape around the development.

“Riva Vue will be a really great community to live in and I look forward to moving into my first home within a few months.”

Mr Budd purchased a 700-square-metre block of land and is having a Metricon-designed four-bedroom, two-bathroom home built.

Riva Vue project manager Dale Scotcher said the estate had reached a major project milestone with the first homes now under construction.

He said six homes were currently being built with construction of a further 20 homes set to begin in the next few weeks.

Titles were released to buyers in stages one and two late last year.

Remaining land in stages one and two are currently selling with blocks ranging in size from 653 to 1555 square metres and prices starting from $165,000.

“It’s such a great time for us at Riva Vue,” said Mr Scotcher. “To see the first homes being built in the development is a major highlight.”

“Riva Vue will be a really great community to live in.”
