THE latest stage of the Seabreeze housing estate at Pottsville has sold out after only three weeks on the market, astounding even the selling agents.

“We have been blown away by this record sales rush,” said development manager Dale Scotcher, who revealed all 11 blocks in stage 8a had been snapped up.

Buyers splurged a total of $2.7 million on the blocks in a spree which Mr Scotcher said proved “there is a strong demand for and short supply of land in Pottsville”.

He announced Newland Developers were now in a position to release stage 8b earlier than expected, with prices starting from $255,000 for blocks ranging in size from 720 to 830 square metres.

“We are excited to see that Seabreeze is now providing a solution to the land shortage issues in Pottsville,” he added.

“Seabreeze not only offers affordable house-and-land packages, but also an opportunity to belong to a friendly neighbourhood and community with everything a family could wish for.”

Seabreeze project marketing agent Lance Cotterill, from North Estate Agents, said the sales office had been inundated with inquires from people eager to snap up their own piece of land on the southern Tweed Coast with the bonus of easy access to the Gold Coast.

“Many purchasers of stage 8a said that they rushed to buy at Seabreeze after missing out on the last release of land,” Mr Cotterill said.

“As land continues to be snapped up in the region, and with little coastal land available, we expect huge interest in stage 8b with more and more people longing for the unique lifestyle that Seabreeze offers.

“With so many house- and-land package options, purchasers have the freedom to custom design their own package.

“We are now seeing more residents of the Seabreeze community and they’re attracted to Pottsville for the peaceful, coastal lifestyle.

“Many travel to work on the Gold Coast with the improved access via the Tugun bypass.”

Mr Cotterill said those buying at Seabreeze had told him they loved the fact they could live in “the quiet, village atmosphere of Pottsville with no high-rises or traffic, while at the same time being located only a short drive to Tweed Heads, Kingscliff and the international Gold Coast Airport”.

Seabreeze is located on Pottsville-Mooball Road, Pottsville Beach.

The 97-hectare development includes landscaped parklands and sports playing fields.
