Twenty-two ‘beach shacks’ at Santi, Casuarina, have been snapped up by eager buyers.

STAGE One of Casuarina Beach Santi apartments and beach shacks sold quickly.

The first stage comprised 22 boutique beach shacks which sold for a combined $6.6 million. The Balinese-inspired resort offered one bedroom apartments from 70 sq m and two bedroom 84 sq m apartments.

More than $11 million of sales were posted within 24 days.

More than 500 buyers from Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast inquired about the sale since its launch on January 8.

Stage two of the Santi sale would include an additional 14 apartments and had already generated a lot of interest from prospective buyers, said the sales spokesman, Colliers International project marketing director Brinton Keath.

Colliers priced some of the remaining units at $179,000 – down from the usual $259,000 to $335,000.

Mr Keath said the campaign reminded him of last year's town centre residential land release.

“There were 38 lots sold, with sales in excess of $12 million in just four weeks,” Mr Keath said.

“We expected properties to be snapped up immediately and they have been.

“Every single apartment within Santi is of superior quality and we're finding most people have made up their mind to purchase after just one inspection.”

Mr Keath expected the remaining apartments to also sell quickly.
