Tweed road rage: Shots fired in Mooball

Police say a truck was shot at on a major Tweed Valley road as they call for any witnesses to come forward.

A NSW Police spokeswoman said officers were called to Tweed Valley Way just after 4.15am Thursday.

Police were told the driver of a small sedan discharged a firearm in the direction of a truck, before leaving the area.

Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District are investigating.

The truck driver was not physically injured during the incident and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Police are urging anyone who may have dashcam footage from Tweed Valley Way between 3.30am and 5am Thursday to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
