A Sydney makeup artist who went shopping around Byron Bay while positive with Covid-19 has had a charge dropped in court.

A charge against a reality TV show makeup artist at the centre of a Byron Bay lockdown has had one of six charges against her dropped.
I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here makeup artist Kelly Anne Bowman had previously pleaded guilty to five counts of failing to comply with electronic registration directive.
A charge of not complying with permit conditions against the 32-year-old was dismissed when her matters were mentioned in Tweed Local Court on Thursday.
According to police, the Rushcutters Bay woman failed check in at Combi Byron Bay, Salt & Pepper Wanderlust Byron Bay, Assembly Label Byron Bay, Rowie Byron Bay and Salt Cellars Kingscliff between September 18 and 19 last year.
She had been allowed to travel to northern NSW during strict Covid restrictions on a work exemption for reality TV show I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here, which was filmed in the Tweed hinterland.
Bowman was positive with Covid-19 at the time of the offending.
Byron and Tweed went into a seven-day lockdown after Bowman’s positive result for the virus was confirmed.
Defence lawyer Michael Hempsall told the court there was one sentence in the agreed set of facts which the defence disputed.
He asked for an adjournment for sentence in hope the two parties could come to a resolution before then.
Bowman is expected to be sentenced on March 18.
