A Sydney man who was caught with an array of drugs on the M1 near Byron Bay has admitted to his role in drug supply.
Aaron Luong, 21, pleaded guilty in Tweed Heads Local Court on May 13 to knowingly taking part in the supply of methamphetamine.
Further charges of knowingly taking part in supply of cannabis, knowingly taking part of supply of heroin and dealing with the suspected proceeds of crime along with leaving home without reasonable excuse during the Covid-19 period were admitted to and will be considered upon sentence.
According to court documents Luong was stopped on the Pacific Highway at Tyagarah on July 6, 2021 about 8.30am when he was stopped for veering over the road edge line.
There police noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the rental truck Luong was driving and called in further resources to search the vehicle.
During a search police found 183kg of marijuana hidden inside removalist boxes, 2.5kg of meth in a Woolworths bag and 0.816kg of heroin between two mattresses along with an iphone and cipher phone.
When asked Luong didn’t answer any questions related to supply.

At the time of the offence residents of Sydney were not allowed to leave home without reasonable excuse.
Documents found showed the vehicle had been rented from Blacktown on July 5.
