17-year-old charged with attempted murder 16-year-old in alleged stabbing in Tweed Heads
Police located a 16-year-old boy with hand and shoulder injuries and a 17-year-old with hand injuries following reports of an alleged stabbing.

A 17-year-old has been charged with attempted murder over an alleged stabbing in Tweed Heads on Tuesday afternoon.
About 1.10pm, emergency services were called to the intersection of Blundell Boulevard and Minjungbal Drive, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers from Tweed-Byron Police District attended and located a 16-year-old boy with hand and shoulder injuries.
After a short on foot chase a 17-year-old boy was arrested and also found to have an injured hand.
Both teenagers were taken to Tweed Heads Hospital for treatment.
The older boy was released from hospital and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station, where he was charged with attempt to murder.
He was refused bail and will appear in a children’s court on Wednesday.
