The 120th Murwillumbah Show saw thousands of Tweed Shire locals enjoy attractions, food and livestock parades - in what has been an annual town and country celebration since 1898.

Many families braved the temperamental weather over Friday night and Saturday to get among the rides, face painting and agriculture.

Fire and Rescue NSW also made an appearance at the historical show, allowing children to sit in the fire truck and meet the local firefighters.

Stallholder Peter Donnelly said it was special to see such a great turnout.

“It has been a tough two years due to Covid, but the community has bound together and supported one another,” Mr Donnelly said.
