A man in his 50s has been rushed to hospital with extensive injuries after a horrific motorbike crash in a National Park on the Qld-NSW border.

A man in his 50s has been rushed to hospital with extensive injuries after a horrific motorbike crash in a National Park on the Qld-NSW border.
Emergency services were alerted to a site on Lions Rd, Cougal, in the Border Ranges National Park about 100km west of Murwillumbah about 2.45pm.
Medical teams from both NSW Ambulance and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter attended.
On-board paramedics and a doctor were winched down to the scene to assist NSW ambulance paramedics in treating the man aged in his 50s.
While the Westpac Rescue Helicopter found a safe place to land, on scene medical teams treated the man for multiple fractures.
He was then transported to the helicopter before being flown to Lismore Base Hospital in a serious condition.
It comes after Tweed shire man Joel Davison lost his life in a tragic motorbike and car crash near Uki, southwest of Tweed Heads, at the weekend.
