Kaire Wyatt wins Tweed’s cutest baby 2023 vote

After plenty of nominations, votes and a whole lot of adorable photos, the winner of the Tweed’s cutest baby competition can now be announced.

The winner of the Tweed Shire’s cutest baby for 2023 has finally been announced.

While every baby is adorable in their own unique way, it is time to crown which little one which captured the most hearts across the region.

Little Kaire Wyatt, who nabbed 24 per cent of the vote, was born at Tweed Hospital on March 16 to mum Keniesha Hall and dad Damian Ford. Dr Steve Abbey helped Kaire arrive at 1.53pm.

“There were no complications,” Ms Hall said, but described her VBAC birth as “long and tiring”.

“We were expecting this pregnancy to be a little girl. My body felt different this time around. And then we found out at our 20 week scan we were expecting another little boy into our family,” Ms Hall said.

Both parents were team girl, but siblings Leo and Byron were keen for another brother.

But Ms Hall said they “couldn‘t be happier with our little addition”.

He is the light in all our lives and both sides of the family are big so he is loved by many.,” she said.

Dad Damian Ford was present for the birth and said he could not believe the moment his son arrived.

Both parents were so happy they cried, but were scared to learn their little boy had some breathing issues and needed to spend time in the special care nursery.

Ms Hall said she got to see her little boy briefly, but didn’t get to hold him until three hours after he was born.

“My mother, Varr was also in the room with me while I had Kaire and she was the best support,” she said.

“I was so happy Damian and I got to share this experience with her.”

Older brothers Byron, 8, and Leo, 3, “absolutely adore” their little brother.

“Leo wakes up every morning and Kaire is the first person he goes to with his arms wide open for a cuddle and kiss. They are both very hands on with their baby brother,” Ms Hall said.

“Whenever Kaire is sleeping, Leo will always go and cuddle and kiss him.”

Ms Hall said Kaire has the cutest giggle when his father is giving kisses.

“He loves bouncing up and down in the walker and loves splashing the water with his brother Leo in the pool,” she said.

She said if they could pick one thing they love most about their little boy it was his bubbly personality.

“He is always smiling. He is one happy, content little baby.”
