WOODEN boat enthusiasts and inquisitive locals should head to Condong this Saturday for the Tweed River Classic Boat Regatta.
The regatta promises a day full of colour and style, with individually crafted wooden boats showing off their owner's creative flair.
The day will show the skills required to build and launch the diverse fleet.
Event organiser Bob Modystack was keen for the annual event and eager to reunite with the rest of the boat association members.
"I'm really looking forward to catching up with all the guys from last year."
Mr Modystack said it would be a busy day, with 45 boats entered from across the country.
"They're from as far north as Kingaroy and as far south as Sydney," he said.
Mr Modystack also urged anyone with a wooden boat to get in contact with him to enter the regatta.
Tweed Shire Council and the Wooden Boat Association are sponsoring the event, the Classic Boat Regatta's 12th year.
The regatta will be held from 11.30am at Condong boat ramp, McLeod St, Condong.
Anyone interested in entering a boat can contact Bob Modystack on 0417714456.
