COMEDIAN and '80s superstar Austen Tayshus will perform a free show at Saltbar Kingscliff on January 3.

Austen Tayshus, played by Sandy Gutman, is famous for releasing the raunchy comedy single Australiana, which remains the highest selling Australian single three decades on.

His show is expected to fill up fast as people flock to check out the rowdy antics of the comedy legend.

The upcoming gig at Saltbar will be for those 18 and over, and if you're not offended then you're probably at the wrong show.

Austen promises nostalgia and some hearty laughs as the comedian harks back to his glory days when he was well known as crude, rude and uncompromising in his comedic delivery.

These days the Australian larrikin has had his fair share of controversy, but has still performed at over 10,000 shows throughout Australia, often to glowing reviews.

Some may also remember him from the 1998 movie Intolerance, which won best film at Tropicana Film Fest and earned Austen the Best Actor Award.

Doors open at 6pm and those interested should contact Saltbar for more information on 02 6674 5587.
