There was bad news for bikies today with cops boosting the numbers of Strike Force Raptor and regional enforcement squads by almost 100 extra officers.
The new officers were announced by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian today as part of a $583 million injection into police that will deliver more than 1500 more officers over four years.
“The increase in specialist officers to Strike Force Raptor and Region Enforcement Squads will help to smash organised crime gangs and keep NSW communities safe,” Ms Berejiklian said.

Detective Superintendent Deborah Wallace, commanding officer of the NSW Gangs squad, said: “This is great news for Raptor and it’s great news the community of New South Wales right across the state.
“It’s probably not such good news for the outlaw motorcycle gangs and the other criminal groups we will continue to target.”
She said the results speak for themselves. Bikie busting Strike Force Raptor has made more than 4550 arrests since it was established in 2009. It has laid 11,000 charges and seized more than $8.3 million in cash.
Police Minister Troy Grant said the boost to Raptor and Regional Enforcement squads allowed police to “hit the drug, gun and crime syndicates where it hurts”.
