Police investigating the theft of three prestige vehicles from a Central Coast dealership at the weekend have released CCTV, after a fourth vehicle was stolen from a nearby automotive repairer yesterday.
About 12.15am, two men approached a black 2010 model Holden Commodore HSV sedan parked at the repairer in Kariong; with CCTV revealing the men approaching the car.
Later in the morning, a staff member noticed the vehicle was missing and notified police.
The car is one of only 13 of its type that were made with manual transmission, making it a collector’s item.
Police are asking anyone who sights the vehicle, which has NSW registration plates DYI-84Y, not to approach it, but to instead contact triple-0 (000) immediately.
Police are investigating the theft and a possible link to the theft of three prestige vehicles at Somersby the previous day.
The M1 Garage posted about the break-in on social media on Sunday, appealing for anyone with sightings of the three Holden Commodores to report it.
One of the stolen Commodores was a HSV Walkinshaw, one of 400 ever built.
A spokesman for the company said there had been five sightings of the Walkinshaw so far this morning with the latest heading south towards Albury near the Victorian border.
The car dealership has offered a $20,000 reward to get their cars back.
“The bastards got us last night and took 3 Commodores,” the dealership posted.
“We will pay a $20K reward TO GET THESE GUYS, Low Life Scum.”
