NSW Police will work with the NRL to identify the controversial figures who are associating with players, after photos showing first-grade players socialising with some men known to authorities surfaced.

The Daily Telegraph can also reveal a member of a notorious gang was a player with a feeder club to the Parramatta Eels, according to police intelligence reports.

It is understood the gang member no longer plays at the club but he was an active member during the past 12 months.

The NRL raised concerns after several members of the Alameddine family and former Nomads bikie Paul Younan were pictured dining with Eels players Corey Norman and Junior Paulo, and Penrith Panthers’ James Segeyaro, at The Century Chinese restaurant at Star Casino on Friday night.

As revealed by The Telegraph on Sunday, in an incident unrelated to the dinner, Norman was allegedly found carrying “several” unidentified capsules by casino security later that evening. The incident is being investigated by police.

The NRL integrity unit will liaise with police after the investigation into Friday night’s incident has been completed.

“The NRL was awaiting advice from the police and the club before determining whether any action is required,” an NRL spokesman said.

Senior police have said they are aware a number of Alameddines are “mad league fans” who attend almost every Eels home game.

It is understood Paulo, who has been linked to a number of colourful figures, was yesterday advised by the Eels to pull down his social media accounts.

The 22-year-old forward’s cohorts include Emilio Cammisso, who is well-known to police and is an associate of high-ranking Bandidos bikies.

Paulo had been prolific in his posting to social media, with a video upload two days ago lauding Cammisso’s dangerous antics on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

“You’re a full blown nutcracker! Off its head @emiliocamisso,” Paulo posted.

Paulo, who joins Canberra next year, was recently reprimanded after breaching his contract to play a third-grade rugby union match.

A video emerged yesterday of NRL Footy Show host Beau Ryan at The Century Chinese restaurant with Jihad and Rachad Alameddine — two of the diners snapped with other players on Friday night.

The video, captured last year at the same restaurant as Friday night’s affair, was posted to Rachad’s Instagram account. It is understood Ryan was not dining with the brothers but was asked to appear in the video with them.

Rachad also posted a photograph of the now-infamous dinner with Norman, which was attended by Sam Ibrahim associate Younan and Rafat Alameddine, the brother of terror-accused Talal Alameddine. Rafat, 25, is on bail having been charged with fraud offences.
