“PLAYBOY rapist” Simon Monteiro has been returned to custody after allegedly engaging in “threatening, aggressive and uncooperative” behaviour towards corrections staff while failing to meet treatment conditions.
The 50-year-old, who spent nine years of an 11-year sentence behind bars after bashing, raping and twice impregnating a woman in an eastern suburbs home, was released on parole last month on the condition he abided by strict conditions, including wearing an ankle bracelet and undergoing drug and alcohol testing, and psychological counselling.

Monteiro was also banned from visiting the council areas of Randwick City, Waverley and Woollahra. A Corrective Services NSW spokesman said Monteiro, who changed his name from Simon Lowe, had not committed an offence but had failed to comply with his supervision conditions.
A departmental source said the breaches included his refusal to sign documentation to declare he had completed his health treatment and “repeated aggressive, threatening and uncooperative behaviour toward Community Corrections and Corrective Services NSW staff”.
