DailyTelegraph.com.au is Australia’s best performing subscription website in August 2017, Nielsen Digital Ratings have revealed.
DailyTelegraph.com.au’s Unique Audience remained rock-solid at 2.301 million (-0.12%) people from August 2016 to August 2017.
The Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph and NewsLocal site grew 3.37% UA on desktop and 8.42% on smartphone in the same period, only suffering a decline in our tablet audience.
DailyTelegraph.com.au grew its mobile audience between July and August 2017 by 5.31% and overall unique audience by 0.66% month-on-month.
The Sydney Morning Herald’s website declined 22.95% between August 2016 and August 2017. It’s unique audience is now 4.017 million.
DailyTelegraph.com.au is the 8th ranked news website in Australia. Sister subscription website HeraldSun.com.au is 9th with 2.293 million UA while the free news.com.au remains No1 with a unique audience of 5.593 million.
DailyTelegraph.com.au deputy editor and head of digital Peter Brown said: “It’s a strong result built on the back of exclusive journalism and an endorsement for online subscription journalism.
“We have relaunched our website with a bold new look this month but our commitment to delivering breaking news and exclusive stories, pictures and videos is still our absolute focus.
