Newtown tattoo parlour destroyed in suspicious fire
A tattoo shop in Newtown has been destroyed in what police are describing as a suspicious fire. Officers seized a number of items from the scene which will be forensically examined.
A tattoo parlour in Sydney’s inner west was destroyed by fire, which is believed to have been deliberately lit.
A fire broke out at the LDF Tattoo shop on King St, Newtown about 2.30am on Saturday.
Flames were seen shooting from the building, prompting emergency services to race to the scene.
Despite firefighters extinguishing the blaze a short time later, the building suffered extensive damage.

Police investigating the fire seized a number of items from the scene which will be forensically examined.
“Initial inquiries indicate the fire has been deliberately lit,” NSW Police said in a statement.
According to the LDF Tattoo website, the tattoo studio is “owned and operated by tattoo artists who draw upon more than 50 years of experience in the Australian tattoo industry”.
