Mel Ter Wisscha says jailed Mark Buddle misses daughters, denies he has son to new wife

The mother of Mark Buddle’s two children says he calls them daily and rejects claims he fathered a son by woman he wed in Turkey, calling their marriage “just a transaction.”

The former partner of ex-bikie boss Mark Buddle has rejected claims he fathered a son with a woman he wed in Turkey, insisting he told his other children the boy is “not his son”.

Long-term partner Mel Ter Wisscha claims the former Comanchero boss, who spent six years in the Middle East and Europe before he was extradited to Australia, pines for their two daughters.

Ms Ter Wisscha, who split from Buddle in July 2021, said she is in regular contact with her ex, who calls from maximum security Barwon Prison in Victoria, where he awaits his trial over allegedly importing 160kg of cocaine.

Ms Ter Wisscha, who was living with Buddle in Dubai before she moved to Bodrum in Turkey and he went to Northern Cyprus, said Buddle’s marriage to Northern Cypriot Ozge Kavus, 30, was transactional.

It is understood Buddle would get citizenship and could live in the Turkish-controlled part of Cyprus if he married a local.

Mel Ter Wisscha says Ozge Kavus, 30, who is married to her ex Mark Buddle, is “just a transaction”.

After their marriage in August 2022, Ozge, an employee at one of Buddle’s firms, lived with him at one of his three properties.

She is understood to have given birth to their son, to whom she proudly refers to as “my bodyguard”.

Northern Cypriot Ozge Buddle, nee Kavus, reportedly gave birth to Buddle’s son while he was in jail.

“Their relationship was a transaction … because they don’t speak,” Ms Ter Wisscha insisted.

“He told (his daughters) that’s not his son when it came out. They’re weren’t close. She just needed the money.

“He’s very close with our girls. He adores them and contacts them daily.”

Mark Buddle is in jail in Victoria after he was charged with importing 160kg of cocaine into Melbourne.

Buddle, a 40-year-old former Maroubra “Bra Boy”, spent six years in the Middle East and Europe before he was extradited to Australia from Turkey to face charges over the alleged importation of more than 160kg of cocaine worth $40m.

The drugs were allegedly sent to Melbourne, via Sydney, from Hong Kong in a shipment of air filters.

He faces two charges, each ­carrying a maximum sentence of life in prison.

The Australian Federal Police will allege he controlled the shipment using an encrypted app called AN0M, which was created and secretly accessed by their officers and the FBI in the United States.

Police allege he is also a person of interest in the shooting murder of a Sydney security guard in 2010.

Mel Ter Wisscha says her ex, Mark Buddle, is missing his children.

The former head of the Comanchero bikie gang was once Australia’s most wanted man.

After fleeing Sydney, he lived in Dubai before settling in northern Cyprus, which does not have an ­extradition treaty with Australia.

He was expelled from the Turkish-controlled region when his presence proved “inconvenient in terms of public peace and security,” the interior ministry said at the time.

Buddle’s case is listed for directions hearing on March 18.
