Mark Geyer’s daughter Montana on NRL Memes sex tape scandal

The 24-year-old daughter of NRL great Mark Geyer has revealed how she found had been named in a memes page as featuring in a sex tape.

Mark Geyer’s daughter has detailed the “complete and utter mayhem” which was being involved in an NRL memes sex scandal that threatened to destroy her life.

Montana Geyer, 24, sued Fouad Ghosn, the man accused of publishing posts on NRL Memes and NRL Quality Memes on March 4, 2019, claiming she was the “bird in the Tyrone May video”.

She was awarded $125,000 in damages yesterday.

Judge Judith Gibson awarded the substantial sum to Ms Geyer on Wednesday after a week-long trial in November, saying the post’s claims were not only hurtful but a “figment of the defendant’s imagination”.

The 24-year-old told 2GB that this could have easily “ruined her life”.

“It can easily destroy people’s lives just from a single quote and it’s not right and I want to change that,” she said.

Ghosn claimed during proceedings he may have been framed.

She told the broadcaster about the terrifying moment she first found out about the post.

“It was just complete and utter mayhem. I remember my best friend sending me what was called the meme at the time and I remember being in my room screaming because I didn’t know what was happening,” she said.

Western Sydney man Mr Ghosn, 24, denied owning the pages, claiming he had never used social media and suggested he may have been framed as the culprit.

A jury found in Ms Geyer’s favour in the case of NRL Memes but that the evidence had not proved Mr Ghosn published a similar post on NRL Quality Memes.

Ms Geyer said initially they wanted Mr Ghosn to apologise and remove the move.

Her payout could increase when the matter returns to court on December 18 for a costs hearing.
