Radio personality Jackie O has been spotted hosting her show from the wheel of her luxury car while puffing on a cigarette.

Juggling headphones and the steering wheel, and with her seatbelt resting under her arm, The Daily Telegraph captured the glamorous broadcaster mid-show as she drove through North Sydney on Tuesday morning.

Co-host Kyle Sandilands told listeners that Jackie had left the studio early to make her way to best friend Pip Edwards’ PE Nation show at Fashion Week.

“I have no idea what Pip’s going to do,”she told The Daily Telegraph at Carriageworks on Tuesday.

“There is a lot of anticipation. I’m so excited for her, she’s worked so hard on it. There’s so much hype, and I love hype.”

But so as not to let down her colleagues or listeners, Jackie continued to broadcast from the wheel of her black Range Rover as she drove through city traffic to Carriageworks at Redfern for the event.

The show’s producer, Josh Fox, was seen in the passenger seat holding a microphone to Jackie as she drove.

“I was on the radio coming here,” Jackie said. “We had a Comrex microphone as I was driving. It kept cutting in and out, but anyway, I stayed on-air ‘til 10am.”

But the impromptu broadcast from the car was not without hiccups. At one stage, Sandilands told listeners “OK, we’ve lost Jackie, this is not working”.

Moments later, Jackie was back on air, assuring Kyle it was “no biggie” – she just had to “turn it of and on again”, referring to the technical equipment her producer was using for the link up.

“See, another thing I’ve taught you,” Sandilands joked.

“It was chaotic and especially chaotic in my head,” Jackie told The Daily Telegraph, also joking that it may have been easier to take a leaf out of her co-host’s book and storm out mid-show.

Her 13-year-old daughter Kitty excitedly pointed out her favourite TikTokers and beauty influencers to her mum in the crowd.

The radio host said she had no idea who they were but staged introductions her daughter, who excitedly shared the news with her school friends in a group chat.

“I’m just the stepping stone to more famous people,” Jackie joked.

It has been a busy 24-hours for Jackie O. who was also pictured with her daughter Kitty at the Carla Zampatti runway show on Monday night.

Moments before Jackie left the studio, Sandilands questioned why she was taking her daughter Kitty, 13, out of school to attend the fashion show with her.

“Why isn’t she at school? There’s an ad here saying keep your kids at school,” he said.

Jackie said Kitty loves fashion and that “it’s a great experience for her”.
