Update 11.40am: BACK in April a rumour was swirling that the the soon-to-be-wed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were interested in purchasing a holiday home at Byron Bay.

The New Idea reported the couple wanted a holiday house in a warm climate to escape the British winter, and they had brokers "putting the feelers out" around Byron Bay.

Two months later the couple are married, their wedding-of-the-year now just a memory, and attention is turning to their first official visit as a couple to Australia in October.

They will be in the country for the Invictus Games which Prince Harry founded in 2014. It will be the Duchess of Sussex's first visit to Australia.

The couple will undoubtedly have a busy schedule, but a source told The Sunday Mirror, "Harry and Meghan have a window free".

A window free to visit Byron Bay perhaps?

Lets wait and see.

Original story: THE latest rumour in the never-ending fun that is "guess who's coming to live Byron" is a doozy.

The New Idea reported Prince Harry and his soon-to-be wife Meghan Markle are interested in a summer holiday home, with one "source close to the couple" saying Meghan hates the cold: "They want to buy a home in Australia - somewhere they can spend a month or two during the warmer months, to get away from things".

The magazine reported Harry had his brokers put some feelers out and they have all decided that Byron Bay is a good option for them.
