Unusual bird rescue and car crashes all part of a firefighter’s shift
Firefighters at Fire and Rescue Kingscliff have attended a wide variety of incidents including rescuing a bird caught in a telecommunication tower to ensuring streets are safe to drive on after a car crash.

Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 347 Kingscliff reported they have been busy with several incidents including an animal rescue.
According to Fire and Rescue Kingscliff’s social media, they have helped to free a bird stuck in a telephone communication tower, attended an automatic fire alarm alert and a car crash.
Fire and Rescue Kingscliff posted that Crews from Fire & Rescue Kingscliff also attended a two vehicle motor vehicle incident where they said they cleaned up a small amount of oil and fluid and rendered the area safe.
Happily, Fire and Rescue Kingcliff reported, “crews were able to rescue the galah by removing a metal grill that allowed the bird to fly out and back to nature.”.
“Prepared for anything,” was their comment.
And the firefighters said they appreciated the community response to the animal rescue.
“Thank you to the concerned members of public for notifying triple-0 about the trapped bird.”
