Two women injured after Moon St crash in Ballina
The 64-year-old was out walking when she was hit by a car, driven by a elderly woman. The pedestrian was placed in a coma and flown to the Gold Coast in a critical condition.

A 64-year-old was out walking in Ballina when she was hit by a car, driven by another elderly woman.
She suffered serious head and pelvic injuries after the crash about 9.25am on Tuesday, according to NSW Police Media.
They said a Subaru Forester was reversing in a car park on Moon Street, Ballina, when the vehicle collided with a brick wall and hit the woman.
The woman was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team prior to transporting her by ambulance to Ballina Airport to where the helicopter is currently based, according to a Westpac Rescue Helicopter Spokesman.
Due to her injuries she was placed into a medically induced coma prior to airlifting her to Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment
She was in a serious but stable condition.
The driver was treated for shock and other minor injuries and taken to Ballina District Hospital.
Officers attached to Richmond Police District attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist police.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
