CHRISTMAS cheer came a little early on the roads today when a truck carrying kegs of beer got wedged under the rail viaduct in South Lismore.
Police were called to the scene at Union Street, South Lismore this morning as another truck came to grief trying to squeeze beneath the bridge.
The Pantech truck, carrying various types of alcohol including kegs of beer became wedged just after 9am, with traffic diversions in place for a short time while the truck was dislodged.
The fire brigade attended to deal with a small diesel spill, and there were no injuries to the driver or damage to the viaduct or other cars.
Emergency services attended the same scene in September for a similar incident.
