Truck accident in Alstonville

[BREAKING] An Alstonville man is in a serious condition in Lismore Base Hospital after his ute collided with a truck at Alstonville this morning.

AN Alstonville man is in a serious condition in Lismore Base Hospital after his ute collided with a truck on the corner of Ballina Road and Parkland Drive at Alstonville this morning.

Ron Spencer and his wife, Glenyce, who are long-term Alstonville residents, were trying to turn on to Ballina Road when the accident happened about 8.15am.

Mr Spencer was trapped in the car for about an hour and traffic had to be diverted on to Teven Road while emergency service crews tried to rescue him.
