A Northern Rivers woman out taking a ride has been flown to a Queensland hospital after being thrown from her horse in the state’s north on Saturday.
NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to a property at Tregeagle Road, east of Lismore around 1.20pm to reports a woman had been thrown heavily from her horse.
Paramedics located and attended to a woman believed to be in her 50s for back and suspected spinal injuries.
Shortly after the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Critical Care Medical Team arrived at the rural property at Tregeagle.
They worked together to further treat and stabilise the woman.
She was treated for spinal injuries and flown direct to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.
