The Lismore Kart Club is holding a Come Try weekend this weekend for members of the public to find out what karting is all about.
The club is one of the best in NSW and is based at the Lismore Showground.
Karting is a stepping stone to all forms of professional racing, from V8 Supercars to Formula 1. If you’re not that serious, club level racing at Lismore is still competitive, drawing karters from interstate to compete.
The open day is on tomorrow and Sunday from 9am to noon.
Cost is $10 each and is for those seven years and over. Bookings are essential through the club secretary on 0456 913 757 or via email liskartclub@hotmail.com
Sessions are limited to one try per driver.
The first race meeting for the Lismore Kart Club is on February 14, with public welcome to come and watch for free.
