The Coraki community could soon be welcoming an influx of new visitors thanks to a $550,000 caravan park upgrade.
The town is in the midst of a massive makeover with the Coraki Riverfront Precinct bringing a new pontoon, boat ramp, and a concrete link the Riverside Caravan Park to life.
Now the unveiling of a revamped amenities block, revealed by Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan last week, will revive the area even more.
“It has provided all-ability access to showers, laundry and a camp kitchen with a large deck,” Mr Hogan said.
“The upgrade has made it more attractive for visitors to Coraki. This means more customers for our local businesses.”
Richmond Valley mayor Robert Mustow said the upgrade is great news for tourists who come to visit and stay in Coraki.
““Council has invested substantially in the landscaping of the park grounds, as well as along the riverfront,” he said.
“Camping and caravanning are part of Australian life and we needed to make sure the Coraki Riverside Caravan Park kept pace with growing visitor demand.”
