Swans U11s soar over Ballina Bombers in a thriller at Mortimer Oval

Our newest – and youngest – sporting journalist, Fynn Henderson, 12, has give us an exclusive of the Australian rules round two game when the Lismore Swans U11 played the Ballina Bombers team at Mortimer Oval on Saturday.
The Swans hosted Ballina for their first home game.
It was a great day for the Swans winning 105.9.99 to the Bombers 6.1.37..
The first half saw goal for goal, with the Bombers really keeping the pressure on.
But in the second half the Swans took off, kicking goal after goal.
Some game highlights included: Dean Stainton’s massive goal from 30 metres out in the pocket, when Sonny Corke did a successful banana kick making his debut for the Swans and Bradlee Commins kicked his first goal.
Sydney-Jack Baker kicked seven goals and Harvey Powers tackling are definitely worth a mention.
All in all it was a great game for the Swans U11 at home.
