Baseball’s best will pitch to win in Lismore
Lismore baseball fans will have front row seats to see some of the best players in the country when the Australian Senior League Championships come to town from May 8 to 12.

Some of the top baseball players from around the country will be showing their pitching and batting skills in Lismore next week for the 2021 Australian Senior League Championship.
Eight baseball teams from across Australia will converge on the town as the Championship will features five-day tournament at the recently upgraded Albert Park Baseball facility between Saturday, May 8 and Wednesday, May 12.
The free games will be played between 10am and 5pm daily, and the not to be missed Gold Medal Game will be played at 1.30pm on May 12.
The team competing are: MacArthur and Cronulla from NSW, Eastern Athletics and Southern Mariners from Victoria, Brisbane Metro from Queensland, Adelaide Armada from South Australia and, Swan Hills and Wanneroo Giants from Western Australia.
The championship will be thrill a minutes form the first pitch when Queensland state champions Brisbane Metro take on Victoria’s Eastern Athletics to get the 2021 Australian Senior League Championship underway in Lismore on Saturday.
Baseball Australia revealed the schedule which will include 10 games being live streamed at baseball.com.au/videos.
Metro and the Athletics will open the tournament from 10am local time on diamond one ahead of Adelaide Armada facing Swan Hills Aces on diamond two.
The live streamed diamond one action will continue when Macarthur faces Wanneroo Giants from 1pm local time.
Cronulla and Southern Mariners will round out the opening day action on diamond two from 1.30pm.
Each team will have at least one pool game on the broadcast main diamond.
Lismore City Mayor Vanessa Ekins said Lismore warmly welcomes the Australian Senior League, players, families and friends for what is expected to be an exciting championship.
“The Widjabul Wia-bal people have gathered in Lismore for thousands of years for ceremony and demonstrations of prowess,” she said.
“It’s good to see sporting teams and families still gathering in this place to compete and socialise.
“Not only can locals and visitors watch some great games over the five days, but it is expected to generate $170,000 for our local economy.”
