LISMORE City Council has received the final chunk of funding to build a key alternative transport link over South Lismore's Hollingworth Creek.
The $2.5 million Wilson Street Bridge Link will allow heavy freight to skip the 'pinch point' on the Bruxner Hwy to access the South Lismore industrial estate.
Lismore MP Thomas George announced an $875,000 grant for the project yesterday. It follows an identical commitment from the Federal Government which will combine with the council's $700,000 to meet the cost.
