Trash, treasure and everything in between will be available for lovers of bargains at the hundreds of garage sales this Second Hand Saturday.

On May 15, nearly 400 garage sales will be open for business across Ballina, Byron, Clarence Valley, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Tweed regions.

Which means people looking for fun and an item they can reuse, repurpose, renovate and save from landfill will be in for a wonderful time.

According to organisers, there’s everything from farm equipment to fresh produce, baked good, craft items, preloved books, games, clothing, plants, toys, sporting equipment – and probably a few kitchen sinks.

For the past 15 years, people have been clearing out their spare rooms, attics and garages to get rid of their stuff and made a few dollars.

While garage sale registrations have now closed at www.secondhandsaturday.com.au, there’s also the option to register for the ‘leftovers’ weekend on May 22, 2021.

If you can’t hold a garage sale, then join in the fun on both Saturdays by finding your treasure at one of the garage sales across the region.
