Rous Water recommences fluoridation of Clunes water supply

ROUS Water has recommenced the addition of fluoride to the Clunes water supply following adjustment to the fluoride dosing system.

During the commissioning of the fluoride dosing system at Clunes, the dosing of fluoride was suspended due to very low water flow to Clunes making it difficult to achieve consistent fluoride levels in the water, Rous Water have said.

The fluoride dosing equipment suppliers have made adjustments to the dosing equipment to allow better mixing of the fluoride and the water supply at low water flows.

The dosing equipment is being monitored daily to ensure that it is operating satisfactorily, Rous Water said.
