A teen charged with allegedly stabbing a Casino boy in his own home has faced court.

Rayn Alward, 18, was mentioned before Lismore Local Court on Wednesday, August 24, facing a sole charge of murder.

Police will allege Alward stabbed a 17-year-old Casino boy to death in his home in a targeted attack.

Emergency services were called to a home on McDougall Street in Casino on June 25, where a 17-year-old died at the scene.

A large crowd was present in the courtroom on August 24 when Alward’s name was mentioned.

The court heard a brief was still not ready, and Magistrate Jeff Linden adjourned the matter to September 28.
