It may be more than ten years since a train rattled along the tracks at the Lismore Railway Station, but over the next week it will be a hive of activity as the stage is set for Norpa's production, Railway Wonderland.

Wiggins Scaffolding staff have been busy setting up seating over the tracks so the audience will be level with the platform, which is the production's stage.

The outdoor theatre will take shape as lighting, sound and a canopy are installed at the station.

Performers will be begin their rehearsals on site on Saturday, with opening night Thursday 22nd October.

Tickets are still available at norpa.org.au
