Putu Sugiarta Winchester-Stanton to face alleged cocaine supply trial

A former teen actor and Home And Away star will head to trial over alleged cocaine supply.
Putu Sugiarta Winchester-Stanton, 45, pleaded not guilty to all charges surrounding an alleged cocaine supply in the Byron Shire in Lismore Local Court.
Appearing in person on Wednesday (September 14), Winchester-Stanton heard a charge of knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group had been withdrawn.
The not guilty charges for trial include a charge of supplying greater than a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and one count of supplying a prohibited drug in an indictable and commercial quantity.
Six related charges of supplying an indictable and commercial amount of a prohibited drug and possessing a prohibited drug will be considered on sentence.
Police will allege Winchester-Stanton was among a group arrested over the alleged supply of cocaine following a string of raids across the Byron Shire in April last year.
Police will allege they seized about 340g of cocaine and more than $25,000 in cash after conducting four raids in the Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and Bangalow areas.
Magistrate Jeff Linden adjourned Winchester-Stanton’s matter for arraignment at Lismore District Court on October 10.
He will remain on bail.
